What is a concealer?

Concealer is a form of makeup that hides things you do not want others to see, for instance, dark circles under your eyes, acne, redness or any blemishes you are not comfortable with. Apply concealer on top of the foundation because that will prevent it from smudging. Using the right applicator, concealer application is rather simple. You just dab or brush it on the areas you want to conceal. Usually applied directly to the face on areas where an improper skin tone or flaws that need to be concealed for an even glow, it is usually available in cream or liquid preparations. Concealer gives an equal basis for no gap application and even extends the life of the products.

They come in various shades to provide a suitable shade for every type of skin and may be used on the areas of the skin concern for natural coverage that diminishes their appearance. How to apply concealer :

Types of concealer

There are three main types of concealer:

Liquid Concealer: As most people can agree, liquid concealer is the most popular and the most practical of all concealers available in the market. It usually has a tube with an applicator wand and is lightweight, easy to use. They are the best even on oily combination complexion. Liquid concealer has three finishes: satin, radiant shimmer and matte. The matte finish offers longer wear than the satin finish. But, satin will appear more realistic especially for the dry skin type. In fact, a radiant shimmer finish is recommended to be applied under the eyes since it is good for making the eyes pop. This type of concealer offers sheer to medium coverage and works well if you are short on time. It is perfect for normal, dry or sensitive skin.
